Anna Lapwood, also known as 'the TikTok organist', is a British singer, conductor, and Director of Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge, who's been commissioned by The Royal Albert Hall to perform at its 150th anniversary organ gala next summer, in a bid to reach a younger audience.
An Oxford graduate, the 27 year old is the first woman to receive an organ scholarship in the institution's 560-year history, and the youngest person to be appointed Director of Music at an Oxbridge college, when she assumed the position aged 21. Lapwood has released two albums, hosts a weekly classical music show on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, and regularly contributes to BBC Radio 3.
